Location: Wiltshire
Size: 6.1m x 6.1m
Features: Folding Sliding doors, Roof lights and glazed roof insert
Colour: RAL, 7015 Charcoal Grey
The Brief
The client wanted to replace an old conservatory on their listed building with a new contemporary design which didn't compromise on the original features of the house. The wanted to extend their kitchen and dining area to include a living room where the family could entertain and socialise. They also wanted to incorporate their garden into the design.
The Process
Listed building consent was applied for by apropos and was approved by Wiltshire County Council. Flushed tracking was included in the design of the structure to enable the boundaries to flow seamlessly between the house and garden. The roof light brings in extra light to the unusual shaped room.
The Result
A bright and airy kitchen/ diner/ seating area which is in keeping with the properties original features. The orangery adds a contemporary feel to a period house but still incorporates original features such as exposed brick walls.
