Case Study - Orangery with Sliding Doors
Our client wanted to enlarge the previously extended kitchen area into a larger living space for their home and create a new utility area to the rear of the current garage.
The small kitchen had doors to the garden and internal hall, together with a decent size window, this meant there was a lack of storage and worktop. The new design removed one of the doors and enlarged the space. The new design retained certain aspects of the current building and built upon others. Large sliding doors and fixed windows together with the gabled roof lantern ensure lots of light filter in. The lantern with its two vents is centralised over the living area rather than over the kitchen. An internal steel ring beam is required to support the substantial weight of the structure.
