Glass Walkways and Glass Links

Glass Walkways and Glass Links

Glass walkways or glass links as they can be called are a beautiful way to link two buildings together, a glass link can be the perfect way of mixing old and new architecture, a barn conversion with a contemporary modular building at its side can simply be linked using structural glazing.

Glass walkways have commercial appeal, when two businesses link their buildings together with an attractive glass walkway, the convenience and the attraction of the walkway can increase profits for both businesses. In fact, when conjoining business enter into a joint venture as such, both buildings increase their foot traffic, which in turn increases their revenue.

One of the more beautiful aspects of glass walkways that link two buildings together is the light offered to the visitors of the buildings. Light, especially natural light, has been scientifically proven to put people in a better mood. While the depletion of natural light has been proven to cause such issues as depression, moodiness, and even in rare cases, aggressive thought patterns, the introduction of natural light can increase thoughts of prosperity and enhance spending.

The simple addition of a glass link can increase revenue for each building by as much as 30%, especially during the colder months when the natural light invites thoughts and feelings of warmth. When the temperature is below freezing outside the temperature inside the minds of the foot traffic can be a warm 85 degrees.

The use of glass walkways helps to increase foot traffic by decreasing the impact of driving traffic. By funneling foot traffic away from vehicular traffic, people tend to keep their minds on what is right in front of them rather than what they might “need to be doing otherwise.” Keeping foot and vehicular traffic separate is only good for business.

Walkways made of glass are not just convenient but they are highly attractive. A well built, high quality glass walkway will bring a renewed sense of prosperity to the buildings that it links and attract more attention from passers by both residential and commercial. When people notice a building they are five times more likely to enter it on a whim. The more attractive that the building is, the more attention it attracts. The simple math equals more traffic, more money changing hands, and happier consumers and clients.

You don’t have to be an affiliated building to link together with a glass walkway. Buildings like hospitals use such extensions in order to make it easier for people to travel from one building to the next. Unrelated buildings can link together for the sole purpose of increasing revenue for each building. The beautification of any building is a worthwhile expense. The beautification of two buildings that adds convenience while attracting attention is a literal boost in economic prosperity.
