Case Study - Glass Roof
This Victorian property within a conservation area was in need of a bigger kitchen as the family got larger. The garden isn't huge and our clients weren't sure how much of the garden they wanted to lose to the extension.
The suggestion was made that we use the small side area for the extension rather than eat into the children’s safe play area. As there is access to the garden via the garage, losing the side path wasn’t an issue. A new door and window were also part of the improvements; the new glass roof sits onto a structural box gutter attached to the new boundary wall. Electric roof vents were included as was a new door to the remaining side passage area.
