Folding Sliding Doors | Apropos Conservatories

Folding sliding doors

Folding sliding doors and sliding doors can be included in any Apropos bespoke conservatory, designs for new buildings or extensions, or added to existing buildings. Sliding doors really do allow the blurring of the boundaries between the outdoors and the indoors, allowing the opening up of large doorways to create a seamless conduit between the house and the garden.

Whatever the weather, sliding doors and folding sliding doors allow you to enjoy your garden. Large glazed panels admit light and keep out the elements, and when the sun shines can be opened wide; let in the fresh air and see your garden as an extension of your home, an additional “room” you can easily use and enjoy.

Bringing the Outdoors In With Folding Sliding Doors

The concept of merging the outdoors and the indoors is really the essence of the philosophy behind architecture in glass, and sliding doors and folding sliding doors represent the easiest way to create this merger. The addition of glass doors to any structure instantly creates a lighter and more airy space, and totally transforms a room.

Folding Sliding Doors - Flexibility of Size and Operation

Choosing between sliding doors and folding sliding doors is a matter of preference. Sliding doors are easy to operate and require no space on either side of the threshold, whilst folding sliding doors allow for the opening up of an entire side of a building, or at least the entire door aperture. Folding sliding doors can be folded and stacked to the left or right, to the inside of the threshold or the outside. Sliding doors and folding sliding doors, in common with other apropos elements, are customer made to order, so there is no need to worry if an existing aperture is not a “standard” size. Equally, when designing a new structure, there are no restrictions on the size of folding sliding doors that can be included in the design.
