Case Study - Bespoke Lean to Conservatory
To replace the current shaded courtyard area, with a sideways extension creating a larger sitting room adjacent to the dining area. The property is within a conservation area and full planning consent was required, and granted. The design was complicated due to the internal layout of rooms; new steel designs were required to allow the creation of a larger open modern living area.
A fully glazed roof allows natural light to filter in to the larger living space. French Doors to the garden, a full height tilt-and-turn window, together with roof vents ensured all year round ventilation. The newly built internal wall proved useful for lighting and heating.
