bespoke conservatoryClient: Based in South West London in a substantial detached property built between the wars. Brief: To implement a design prepared for the Client by their architect involving the installation of a large bespoke conservatory with a hipped roof abutting a new kitchen/dining extension with a tiled hipped roof. Summary: We work directly with Clients to provide design advice as well as planning and building regulations services but are equally happy to work with a Client’s architect or builder if that is the preferred or more sensible approach. In this instance the Client had already engaged an architect who had designed a large extension and conservatory and approached Apropos whereupon our technical team converted the design into an Apropos solution. The order for the project was placed in mid February 2003 and delivered and installed in June of the same year. The completed bespoke conservatory is grand and elegant with it’s folding sliding doors bringing the outside inside. Post Script: This bespoke conservatory project was subsequently featured in an article in the Daily Telegraph (23 March 2006) wherein an independent estate agent estimated that the build cost of £30,000 had added approximately £50,000 to £70,000 to the value of the property. |
