Apropos expands with new design staff
Leading glass and aluminium structure specialist Apropos Tectonic have recently hired Mike Kalligas to join its ever expanding team. Mike has joined them as a 3D visualise whose day to day work will include assisting the designers by producing high quality 2D and 3D renders of potential and future projects.
Apropos, based in Ashton-under-Lyne design and build cutting edge bespoke conservatories, orangeries, pool houses and lean to’s. Over the past year Apropos have expanded their business by creating Atelier, who design and manufacture garden studios and ClearSpan who design and manufacture slim-line folding sliding doors, roof lights and lean to conservatories.
Mike graduated from Salford University with a BA(HONS) in Spatial and interior design and has previous experience working as an interior designer, designing hotels, spas, restaurants, bars and luxury residential properties. More recently Mike has been designing commercial office space for Manchester’s finest financial and legal companies.
Mike applied for the position in order to build on his strength of illustrating and visualising. “I wanted a job which would allow me to visualise and create design concepts and I really enjoy making someones vision come alive in a 2D or 3D drawing. Apropos will allow me to build on my strength as a 3D visualiser and extend my design knowledge in a different industry.”
