FMB: Use builders for constructing conservatories
People who want to get conservatories constructed need to use professional builders, one expert has claimed.
Brian Berry, director of external affairs at the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), said it is not a "DIY job" and people should leave it to experienced personnel.
If it is not carried out properly, then the hoped-for added value to a property will not occur, he stated.
"Potential buyers are put off by the thought of having to correct work or worse pull it down. It is important to carefully choose a builder to create your conservatory," Mr Berry remarked.
If individuals are set on developing the bespoke addition to their dwelling, the last thing they want to happen is it not to look as they had hoped.
Andrew Leech, spokesman for the National Home Improvement Council, recently noted conservatories represent a sound investment, as they will add to the price of a home.
