Conservatories 'are a good investment'
Conservatories represent a sound investment for people in the long run, one expert has claimed.
Andrew Leech, spokesman for the National Home Improvement Council, noted while they may not immediately increase the cost of a dwelling, there will be benefits to derive from the structures in later years.
"On the whole, conservatories are a good investment because they can enhance a property's value within the price range of a specific geographical area," he added.
People who decide to get the bespoke addition added to their house can use it as a kitchen extension or an extra living room.
The space can be multipurpose and is able to adapt to the different seasons, as during spring and summer is when people are likely to spend the most time in it.
Mr Leech remarked individuals will have to be patient as they wait for the price of their home to increase following the addition of a conservatory.
