Renovation buzz to see more conservatories built?
Conservatories may continue to increase in popularity as one expert has claimed the appeal of renovation is wide.
Jaclyn Thorburn, spokeswoman for BuildStore, noted the property market is still "fragile" and so many people are choosing to do up their homes rather than try to sell them at a reduced price.
If individuals do decide to complete work on their house, which may add value to the dwelling if selling is a long-term vision, then a conservatory could be perfect.
It is possible to use the structure as an extra living room, a kitchen extension or a place where a family can relax and enjoy their food.
"There has always been a large aspirant self-build market in the UK, so this could be the start of a new house building revolution," said Ms Thorburn.
She added these types of projects can often be more cost effective than some other strategies, while they also leave room for personal design.
