Conservatory used as boutique
One individual has put her conservatory to good use by selling clothes in it.
Sally Moore buys and sells second-hand outfits in her house along with her friend Cathryn Bullimore in Caversham, the Reading Post reports.
Ms Bullimore said: "It is a very big conservatory, almost as big as a shop and it is packed with clothes now."
She noted people who attend the sales, which take place once a month, do not expect to have to part with much money in order to get something.
A portion of the cash collected from these days then goes to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
This highlights how a conservatory can serve many functions, as Ms Moore uses it as a normal room for every other day of the month.
People who do have a conservatory have been advised to air the structure on mild days by the Telegraph, in order to prevent fungus from growing.
