This is because Malcolm Pinkerton, senior analyst at Verdict Research, speaking at the Totally DIY event, noted it has become a much more fashionable pastime recently.
Individuals who have or are considering building a conservatory may be more interested than others, because their backyards will be readily accessible through the folding sliding doors they have.
"We have a greater use of the garden for leisure activities [and] gardening itself as a leisure activity is becoming more and more popular," Mr Pinkerton observed.
One way that people may develop their conservatory a bit more is to have garden furniture located near the structure, which will allow for a nice flow through from the house.
Helen Green, author of the Terry's Fabrics blog, recently said conservatories are an excellent way to take advantage of the surrounding flora and fauna.
