Wood-burning stove helps couple enjoy conservatory all-year round
A couple from Scotland have vouched for the installation of wood-burning stoves as a way of keeping conservatories warm through the winter.
Tim and Linda Woodrow moved into a bungalow in the hamlet of Woodlands of Durris in County of Kincardine in the early 1980s and soon started a comprehensive building programme.
The garage was converted into another bedroom - making it a five-bedroom property - and a conservatory was added with stunning views across the garden, the Press and Journal reports.
According to Mrs Woodrow, the conservatory has given them year-round enjoyment thanks to a novel addition.
"We spend a lot of time in the conservatory," she told the news provider.
"It is really nice to look out to the garden in the summer - and during the winter, too. The wood-burning stove generates a lot of heat and keeps the room nice and warm when it's colder outside."
Durris Forest is close to a number of notable landmarks including the Red Moss wetland bog and Meikle Carewe Hill.
