Garden studios could provide perfect home office
A recent article in the Irish Independent looked at the pros and cons of working from home, concluding that there is a lot to be said for it.
Referring to it as "the holy grail of employment", the piece explained that those who work from home are often more productive and less susceptible to absence than office staff.
Irish Small and Medium Enterprises chief executive Mark Fielding told the newspaper that the pioneers of teleworking had their fingers burned a little with teething problems as managers were unable to adapt to the new way of working.
"A few years later, the same companies were singing its praises. They had cut their overheads and in some cases, increased productivity," he said.
