Apropos notes rise in folding sliding door sales
Brits planning to invest in their property this year should consider adding folding sliding doors to their kitchen.
According to specialist home improvement firm Apropos Tectonic, such an addition can flood the room with natural light and open up the house to make it feel like part of the garden.
The firm has recorded a rise in the number of customers choosing this option and noted that it is possible to use a flushed tracking system on the doors to allow floor tiling to continue from the kitchen to the patio.
It claimed that this makes an excellent outdoor and indoor space for entertaining during the summer months.
Regional sales manager Gary Shaw explained that the doors can be used on more than just the kitchen.
"Our folding sliding door system can be used in most conservatories, extensions or existing buildings, reflecting the trend towards alfresco living without separating you from the house," he said.
Other potential home improvements include garden studios, pool houses and kitchen extensions.
