Heating advice offered for conservatories
Individuals have been told that it may be in their best interests to consider if they want heating in their conservatories before an installation is complete.
A blog on Mrs Tara Plumbing has indicated that various heating options are available for a conservatory that can be chosen from.
Among them are certain air conditioning units, which will help to cool people down in the summer and then transform to have the opposite impact in the colder months.
Meanwhile, another option is to fit radiators to a conservatory, but how good these are could depend on the type of boiler a person has.
The blogger wrote on the website: "One of the problems Mr TP has come across in a new conservatory built in Broadstairs was the radiators simply not getting hot.
"What happens is that as the hot water leaves the boiler and travels around all the pipes in the house, and through all the radiators, it is losing heat all the time. Too many radiators, too many metres of pipework and the heat is just all used up."
A report by Faber Maunsell earlier this year suggested that people could save 18 per cent on their heating bills if they fit conservatory blinds.
