Kitchen extension 'will attract buyers'
Investing in a kitchen extension could be the key to selling a property in the current housing market, it has been suggested.
The cautious approach being adopted by potential buyers in the fragile economic climate at present means homes are often on sale for months on end, AboutMyArea reports.
However, a report by the news provider claimed that a new kitchen could make a house stand out from the competition and attract potential buyers.
The article also put forward the idea that a professional painting and decorating job and a new central heating system could complete a 'holy trinity' for possible suitors.
"A new kitchen, combined with a painting and decorating job and new central heating, will not be cheap," it said.
"But the property will receive three major improvements that will tick any buyer's boxes."
Last week, Stuart Law, chief executive of Assetz, announced that his company is witnessing evidence that the UK property market is now "firming up" after the major slump.
