One in three Britons 'to invest in new conservatory'
Almost two-thirds of Britons are considering investing in updates such as bespoke conservatories rather than moving house, it has been suggested.
Research by Royal Mail Home Insurance has revealed that 61 per cent of UK homeowners are planning to update their properties in the next two years.
The study showed that nearly a third of respondents (32 per cent) intend to build a conservatory, with 16 per cent likely to opt for a loft conversion, AboutMyArea reports.
"I was not too surprised by this piece of research, as extensions are a lot cheaper and less risky than moving home at this moment in time," Marc Loppas, owner of Herts & Essex Lofts, told the news provider.
"Many of my customers are keen to increase the value of their home now and see the benefits once the country is out of the recession and the market begins to pick up, whenever that may be."
Last week, Coco Male suggested that homeowners should aim to decorate their conservatories with items which are as unique as the structures themselves.
