Interior designer: Wood is a versatile and stylish material

Those who plan to invest in a bespoke conservatory or kitchen extension could choose to furnish it with the eco-friendly substance, which Carolyn Park Interior Design founder Carolyn Park claimed is extremely versatile.
"It enables you to do anything, in any shape or form, and it's a natural product so ecology wise we would much rather use wood than plastic," she explained.
The expert has been improving the inside of homes for 15 years and has seen her business expand abroad with an office now open in Portugal.
Ms Park explained that she enjoys working with craftsmen to provide her clients with bespoke furnishings and noted that many types of wood are in the same price bracket as plastic.
She added that it can be great as flooring and is even available with under floor heating.
