Brits making more use of their gardens
With claims that more Brits are making better use of their outdoor space, some may consider investing in a garden studio.
A leading garden designer and member of the Society of Garden Designers has suggested that people are increasingly using their outdoor area as an "extension to their house".
Charlotte Rowe noted how homeowners are tending to eat and even cook outside more than they used to, which could be down to the changing weather patterns.
The expert explained that it is possible to make the best of the garden even when it is raining.
"You can get really fantastic awnings now and really nice parasols, and quite strong large ones - so even if it does rain you have no problems with that," she said.
Recent figures from the British Retail Consortium show that sales of outdoor DIY and leisure products rose last month thanks to the warm weather.
A 1.4 per cent rise in sales was also boosted by the World Cup, which saw TV purchases increase too, the statistics show.
