Wallpaper 'still trendy'
Brits who are planning to build a bespoke lean-to conservatory may be interested in the latest comments from Wallpaperdirect.
According to the firm, wallpaper is still a trendy and effective way of improving the look and feel of a room.
Representative Jan Williams explained that flock wallpaper has made a big comeback over the past year-and-a-half, while metallic style coverings also remain popular.
She noted that limes, purples, shocking pinks and lilacs are all big sellers at the moment, although there are also a wide range of other colours in fashion.
Ms Williams said that most colours can be applied to patterned papers, meaning homeowners have a varied choice available to them.
Recent figures from the Halifax show that more Brits than ever are choosing to upgrade their properties with a new lick of paint or some wallpaper.
More than half of all homeowners will carry out some form of home improvement over the course of 2010.
