Ninth award for flooring firm
Brits planning on investing in a new kitchen extension or bespoke lean-to conservatory may be interested in the results of the recent CFJ/CFA Flooring Industry Awards.
One of the firms to be honoured was Kahrs, which won the hardwood flooring category for the ninth time.
Its entire range of eco-friendly, multi-layered wood flooring was honoured in the competition, which was judged by CFJ's flooring contractor and specifier readers.
The gong was handed over at a prize-giving lunch in London's Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms.
Kahrs patented its unique parquet design in 1941 and has been producing top-quality flooring ever since.
It uses hardwood down to the joint, with fast-growing spruce and pine below to give a floor that is 75 per cent more stable than a solid product and is more environmentally friendly into the bargain.
Meanwhile, recent statistics from Betta Living show that British males may be told to go watch the World Cup in the bedroom or kitchen, with 49 per cent of partners ready to put their foot down and evict them from the living room.
As such, it might be nice to make the kitchen extension more comfortable.
