Brits find new use for garden
Bespoke lean-to conservatory owners often enjoy pleasant views of their garden, but it seems that some have found a use for their yard that extends beyond planting flowers and vegetables.
Horticulture Week published the recent vouchercodes.co.uk poll, which found that some eight per cent of Brits have indulged in alfresco relations in their back yard.
The poll of 3,000 people discovered that Gloucester residents tend to be the most frisky, with 28 per cent having made love in their garden.
Belfast, Worcester, Brighton and Leicester were not far behind in terms of outdoor naughtiness.
However, the survey did find that 22 per cent of Brits plan to improve their garden by spending at least two hours per week working in it this summer.
Bristol residents will spend the most, with an average outlay of £149.80 per person, compared to the UK average of £102.30.
In other news, conservatory owners looking to improve their view could pick up inspiration from the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show, which is taking place this week.
