Be aware of energy usage, homeowners told
Brits who have invested in a quality bespoke lean-to conservatory in order to reduce energy wastage through heat loss may be interested in the comments of a TV presenter and eco campaigner.
James Strawbidge suggested that it is crucial to know how many units of electricity you use in order to successfully cut down.
The British Fenestration Rating Council recently said that the average homeowner could save almost £500 per year by ensuring they have energy efficient glazing in their property.
"Nobody likes throwing money away, so it's a matter of trying to cut down on waste, which is the wasted heat," Mr Strawbridge explained.
"I never used to know what a kilowatt-hour [was]. It just sounded like physics on a stalk."
He revealed that it is actually a unit of electricity and that understanding how much you are using can help people cut back.
The expert claimed that everyone should be capable of making a difference if they change their lifestyle and switch things off when they are not in use.
