Brits need to invest in their future
Brits may wish to invest in their homes to secure their future after it was claimed that not enough people are thinking about how they will survive when they retire.
Potential value-adding improvements include a bespoke lean-to conservatory, kitchen extension or pool house.
AWD Chase de Vere head of communications Patrick Connolly suggested that people are not saving enough for their futures.
"In the past people have been able to fall back on the state. Traditionally people would work for the same firm for their whole career and have a final salary pension in place," he explained.

The expert asserted that people should be educated about what will happen to them after they retire in order for them to take the necessary steps to secure their livelihood.
He advised mixing up investments as there is no one fail-safe plan that is guaranteed to provide for the future.
