Lighting tips for home improvers
Homeowners who plan to invest in a new kitchen extension or other home improvement may be interested in recent tips from Original BTC.
According to the firm, choosing the correct lighting in a home can be extremely important in terms of unlocking its creative potential.
"Effective, efficient lighting has the power to transform your home, defining and improving perception of space, highlighting design schemes and creating atmosphere and interest," founder and designer Peter Bowles said.
His advice to homeowners is to use a mix of ambient, task and accent lighting, which should be worked out at the planning stage.
Using wall lighting in smaller spaces rather than table lamps can be a great way of avoiding clutter, while lights that can be moved are useful for controlling illumination within the living environment.
