Foreign investors set to come to the UK
Brits who are considering investing in a home improvement in order to make their property more valuable may be buoyed by a recent prediction from housing experts at Prickett & Ellis.
According to the firm, the recent financial problems facing the euro could encourage more foreign buyers to invest in the UK property market.
Director Nigel Ellis explained that the industry could see the benefits of investor trepidation regarding other countries in the European Union.
The expert suggested that the UK's large, separate economy gives investors a feeling of safety.
"The fact that we are self-contained economically is of great benefit to the housing market," he added.
London could be an attractive market to cash-rich foreigners and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors recently revealed that house prices in the capital are on the up.
A recent report showed that 55 per cent more surveyors experienced rising rather than falling house prices in April - up from the 32 per cent balance the previous month.
