Brits more inclined to stay at home
Brits are now more inclined to stay at home than enjoy a trip to the cinema, research from the firm revealed.
Its study found that 53 per cent of Brits would now rather spend quality time entertaining friends and family at home than going out.
It also showed that more than a third of respondents have invested in upgrading their home entertainment system in the past year, with nine per cent having added a games console.
LG UK head of marketing for home entertainment Stephen Gater explained that technology is evolving and that being able to connect devices is becoming increasingly important.
"What we're driving is we're enabling people in their living rooms to make sure that their devices link together and we're actually giving them the chance to use their TV in a slightly different way," he said.
Mr Gater added that it is important to be able to transfer images from a personal computer such as a laptop onto a TV screen for entertainment purposes.
