Protect your conservatory on the cheap
British homeowners who have installed a bespoke conservatory or other lean-to glazed extension may be keen to protect their investment from burglars.
According to one expert, technology has advanced to a level where it is easy for almost anyone to install a closed circuit television (CCTV) security system.
Gadget-Spot.co.uk sales manager Terry Inns explained that Brits can make use of internet protocol to beef up home security and, with prices starting at just £45, they can do so without breaking the bank.
"We want to bring CCTV into the home so that people in their home environment can, for the sake of £200, take such a camera and the laptop software to manage it and have a fully working CCTV system," he said.
Mr Inns added that technology has moved on from the stage where this would have involved setting up an entire infrastructure.
Wireless cameras, routers and personal computers have made home security much easier, and cheaper, to install, the expert added.
