House price confidence increasing
Brits planning on investing in a bespoke conservatory in order to make their property more desirable to future buyers may be interested in the latest comments from mousprice.com.
The website suggested that confidence in the housing market is at its highest level since the recession began.
Director Selwyn Lim commented on recent zoopla.co.uk figures, which show that the majority of Brits (81 per cent) think that house prices will rise in the next six months, with the average rise expected to be 5.7 per cent.
He said that while the predictions may be "a little optimistic", the rise in confidence is "encouraging".
Mr Lim added that next month's general election could bolster the positive feelings even further due to the increased certainty over how the country will be run for the foreseeable future.
Recent Halifax statistics revealed that house prices have risen by 1.1 per cent in the past month and 5.2 per cent year-on-year to an average of £168,621.
