Yorkshire conservatory offers "commanding views"

A home dubbed as "the best house in the village" and featuring a conservatory has come onto the market in Yorkshire.

According to Country Life, the old rectory is the most sought-after property in Nunnington and offers commanding views from its glazed extension.

It is rare that such a property comes onto the market in the area as large estates are not often put up for sale in Yorkshire.

Family properties such as this one, located 20 miles from York, are usually considered the best in the town or village.

Dating back to the mid-19th century, the house lies on the banks of the River Rye and features a conservatory, high ceilings and large rooms with views over Ryedale, the Vale of Pickering and the North York Moors.

Meanwhile, Horse and Hound magazine is running a competition to win a trip to Mexico, where the winner will stay in a ranch with a conservatory, bar, billiards table and hot tub.
