Students in Suffolk will soon be enjoying a new glazed building on the waterfront, according to The Evening Star.
The University Campus Suffolk's new building is nearing completion and will host 325 rooms across 10,500 sq meters.
Students will begin using the £22 million building in September and construction manager Steve Wiberley explained that work on the airy new building is on schedule.
"The building is glazed in order to get as much natural light as possible," he told The Evening Star.
"It is no longer a building site and we are working our way through the building ready for the handover."
The building has panoramic views of Ipswich and the surrounding area and is set to become an icon of the town's progression into the 21st century.
This is the latest in a string of top-end buildings to heavily feature glass in its design after Cardiff unveiled its new glass library, designed to look like a bookshelf from afar, last week.
