Even Portakabins made of glass now

The well-documented renaissance in the use of glass in building and design has been underlined by the fact that even Portakabin designers are incorporating it into their work.

The company recently designed a new premium quality marketing suite for commercial and business park developers Rok Development, including floor-to ceiling glazing on its front wall.

The suite will welcome interested customers at Rok's new Wilmslow Office Park , near Manchester Airport .

The design is aimed at attracting visitors to the temporary marketing office, while having the durability to be able to be transported to the next site when Rok completes its business in Wilmslow.

Rok project manager Paul Smith said he was impressed with the sophisticated look of the 'Glazed Titan' building.

"The marketing suite is the first opportunity to impress visitors to the site, making it extremely important that it makes a positive impact," he said.

"The building Portakabin supplied reflects the quality and style of our own development in progress."

Such is the durability of the glazed building that it comes with a five-year product warranty and a 20-year structural guarantee, underlining just how legitimate glazed modular buildings have become in the 21st century.
