A Gothic Grade one listed country house in Wales which features elaborate conservatories has been identified as one of Wales' worthiest contenders for a restoration.
Online resource the Western Mail explains that Hafodunos Hall in Llangernyw is one of the principality's most "at-risk architectural gems".
Renowned 19th-century architect Sir George Gilbert Scott designed the edifice between 1861 and 1866.
His son, John Oldrid Scott was employed in 1883 to design the intricate conservatories for the Venetian-inspired building.
The resource notes that Sir John Betjemen emphasised the house's importance as on of the finest Gothic homes in Wales.
A fire gutted the main portion of the property in 2003 but the conservatories remained undamaged and a structural engineer has concluded that the structure is perfectly re-usable.
Meanwhile, online resource the Shropshire Star recently noted that conservatories remain the most popular option for people looking to add room to their living space.
