Novelist Charlotte Mendelson found the perfect her perfect home in London's Darmouth Park.
She explains that there are numerous opportunities for carrying out extensive home enhancement work, but notes that size is a determining factor in a number of the interior design decisions.
"We're going to knock through the wall between the kitchen and the bedroom," Ms Mendelson notes, adding that while some people opt for large glazed kitchen extensions, she must forgo one to retain the property's flower beds in the garden.
She concludes by noting that she would love to carry out a loft conversion - which could potentially feature sky lights - to increase the property's floor space as the bedrooms are not especially spacious.
Meanwhile, online resource Mother Earth News recently suggested those considering installing sky lights in their property could well be tempted to try tubular sky lights, which comprise a dome-like lens and a length of highly-reflective tubing to naturally illuminate a space.
